What is the difference between advise and advice?

Advise is a verb and it means to suggest, recommend or give information to some.

Here are some examples on how you can use advise in a sentence:

“I advised him to go to the clinic.”

“The lawyer advised him on some legal matters.”

“The doctor advised her to rest.”

 

On the other hand, advice is a noun and it means a guidance or recommendation.

Here are some examples on how you can use advice in a sentence:

“Let me give you an advice.”

“We gave her a lot of advice, but I don’t think he listened.”

“He followed the doctor’s advice.”
